President Erhürman on Earthquake: Preparedness Should Transcend the North–South Divide
President Tufan Erhürman stressed the need for joint preparedness across the island following the 5.2 magnitude earthquake that struck southeast of Paphos.
“I hope no one on the island has been harmed and that this serves as a reminder that we must be prepared for earthquakes and disasters together — without distinction between north and south. Get well soon, Paphos. Get well soon, Cyprus,” Erhürman said.
His message drew attention for being shared in three languages.
