Eylem stated, “With the threat of earthquakes looming, Lefke Gazi High School students and parents protesting, and school administrations and teachers struggling with the fake full-day system and countless other issues, such an imposition is unacceptable.”

She added, “The impositions of political Islam against the people are not legitimate. Those who signed off on opening a theology college in Famagusta acted illegitimately. In line with Atatürk’s principles and reforms, for secular education and a democratic, free society, we will not bow to collaborators, fraudsters, opportunists, or the shameless.”

KTOEÖS reiterated in a press statement outside the Assembly that imposing a theology college is unacceptable while school buildings remain unreinforced and education continues in temporary containers.
