Bellapais Records 232 Kilograms of Rainfall
The Meteorology Department announced that Bellapais recorded the heaviest rainfall in the past 24 hours, with 232 kilograms per square metre, while many other areas also exceeded 100 kilograms.
According to the department, the rainfall measured between 08:00 yesterday and 08:00 this morning was distributed as follows:
“Bellapais 232 kg/m², Selvilitepe 202 kg/m², Kozanköy 158 kg/m², Gönyeli 140 kg/m², Boğaz 138 kg/m², Alsancak 134 kg/m², Karaoğlanoğlu 101 kg/m², Near East University 68 kg/m², Taşkent 65 kg/m², Alayköy and Çamlıbel 54 kg/m², Zafer Burnu and Dipkarpaz 51 kg/m².”
In other areas, rainfall ranged between 0.1 and 50 kilograms per square metre.
