7 Fires and 39 Special Service Calls Recorded Across the Country
Seven fires and 39 special service incidents were reported across the country last week, according to the weekly fire brigade report. The fires caused an estimated TL 447,000 in damages.
The likely causes of the fires included electrical short circuits, intentional burning, undetermined causes, shisha coal disposed of while still hot and igniting rubbish inside a bin, and sparks from an external electrical line igniting leaking fuel during the replacement of a vehicle’s fuel pump.
Special service incidents involved fire prevention measures, rescue operations, special duties, response to natural disasters, ensuring road safety, fire-safety training and the transfer of deceased individuals to hospital for forensic procedures.
