President of the Cyprus Turkish Nurses and Midwives Union Ali Özgöçmen noted that after the earthquakes in Turkey, all hospitals and health centers in the country should be checked against earthquakes.

In his written statement, Özgöçmen stated that the daughter of his colleagues Bedriye Janissary and another colleague Hülya Fırat Kılıç lost their lives at the Isias Hotel in the earthquake that had painful consequences in Turkey.

“WE ARE LIVING THE SAD OF LOSSING OUR YOUNG CHILDREN AND COLLEAGUES”

“With the volunteer teams they formed as a union, we worked with all our strength until the last person at the Isias hotel. Unfortunately, we could not save anyone except Anıl Zeybek. We are experiencing the sadness and trauma of losing our young children and colleagues. We wish mercy to those who lost their lives and express our condolences to the grieving families.” Özgöçmen, who used his expressions, said that these days when they learned painful lessons and experiences, Lefkoşa Dr. He noted that Burhan Nalbantoğlu State Hospital had concluded in the report prepared in 2017 that a nail could not be driven, so to speak, and that not a single nail had been hammered in every sense until today.

Pointing out that this statement is not a political criticism, on the contrary, it is a call to take precautions, not to accept and ignore the facts, Özgöçmen said, “All hospitals and health centers should be checked against earthquakes. Take immediate action, otherwise, in the event of a possible severe earthquake, there will be no state hospitals, blood banks or DNA laboratories in the capital," he said.
