Prime Minister Ünal Üstel held a press conference on the Financial Assistance and Preparedness for Earthquake and Other Natural Disasters Bill, which was prepared to raise funds for earthquakes and is planned to be passed by the Assembly of the Republic today.

“Our vision is to continue the cut for 9 months and create a source of 1 billion TL,” said Üstel.

Emphasizing that the cuts will be spent on education and health, the Prime Minister said that no deductions will be made from those who earn less than 15 thousand TL.

Prime Minister, 2 percent of those who receive a salary between 15 thousand TL and 55 thousand TL; He stated that 5 percent deduction will be made for those who receive salaries over 75 thousand TL, and that they act with the principle of making less deductions from less areas and more deductions from those who earn more.

Expressing that those who do not want a cut in their salaries can submit a petition, Prime Minister Üstel said, "Our prediction is to continue the cut for 9 months and create a source of 1 billion TL."

“We believe that we will bring the TRNC to a better point in 2023, in unity and with new regulations,” said Üstel.
