Şahali pointed out that the Agricultural Products Office (TÜK) opened an illegal tender for a 40,000-ton purchase, where the lowest bid was $210, but no contract was signed. He further explained that 5,000 tons of barley were purchased for $263, and 8,000 tons for $235.

Regarding a 13,000-ton barley purchase, Şahali mentioned that TÜK paid an excess amount of $465,000, which translates to 14 million TL at the current exchange rate. He criticized the mismanagement of TÜK, emphasizing that the Treasury is subsidizing the excessively priced barley to ensure it can be purchased.

Şahali stated that TÜK's monthly barley requirement is between 10,000 and 12,000 tons, and the barley currently being discharged at Gazimağusa Port constitutes a one-month stock. He criticized the management by saying, "If half a million dollars is wasted in a single TÜK purchase, think about what has been happening for the past 3 years," addressing the people of Cyprus Turkish by stating that their schools, roads, and hospitals are being lost due to such institutions.

In conclusion, Şahali called for the intervention of the Audit Office, saying, "If there is an Audit Office, it must take over TÜK. It must report a much larger corruption and scandal that has occurred in this institution in recent years, similar to what happened at Kıb-Tek."
