One Injured in Three Traffic Accidents, Two Individuals Arrested

According to the statement from the Police Press Office, in an accident that occurred yesterday at around 08:00 on Atatürk Avenue in Kyrenia, Ahenk Korcan (F-39), driving the sedan with license plate SM 063, turned carelessly into Şinasi Konuloğlu Street on the east side of the road while heading north, hitting the pedestrian Naile Melih (F-88) who was trying to cross the road. Naile Melih, injured in the accident, was discharged from Girne Dr. Akçiçek Hospital after treatment for a broken right heel.

In another accident on Yağmur Street in Gönyeli around 04:30 yesterday, Şaban Gürler (M-63), driving the bus with license plate THN 306, collided with Semih Yiğit (M-33) driving the vehicle with license plate ZSZ 758, who was moving in the left lane, as he moved carelessly while being under the influence of 232 milligrams of alcohol. There were no injuries in the accident, but Semih Yiğit was arrested.

The third accident occurred yesterday around 06:00 on Üsküdar Street in Nicosia. In this accident, Ataberk Çamur (M-19), under the influence of 103 milligrams of alcohol, lost control of the steering wheel due to his negligence while driving the sedan with license plate HC 183 towards the west. As a result, he went off the left side of the road and collided with the front of the parked car with license plate PH 473. The PH 473-plated vehicle, thrown forward due to the impact, also collided with the front of the parked sedan with license plate VC 765. While there were no injuries in the accident, Ataberk Çamur was arrested.
