The families of the Champion Angels walked in Famagusta to protest the indictment prepared by the Adıyaman Chief Public Prosecutor's Office regarding the Isias Hotel and to demand that those responsible for the earthquake be tried on charges of "possible intent."

Prime Minister Ünal Üstel shared his support for this walk on his social media account.

Ünal Üstel stated, "Isias is our common cause, and we are closely following this case," noting in his post that the earthquake on February 6 caused as much pain to the Turkish Cypriot people as they experienced during wartime. He emphasized that the scientific findings after the earthquake revealed the bitter truth that lives were knowingly targeted due to human errors.

The Prime Minister continued, "The pain of our champion angels and all our losses still breaks our hearts. It is impossible to bring back our losses. However, it is essential for all those responsible to receive the punishments they deserve to prevent such events from happening again. It is crucial for those who remain to not lose their trust in justice. In order to remind this once again, I salute the 'Shine a Light on Justice' walk held in Famagusta tonight. I believe that justice will be served soon, and the responsible parties will receive the punishments they deserve. Isias is our common cause, and we are closely following this case. Once again, I remember those who lost their lives in the earthquake with mercy and longing. We will shine a light on justice."

"WE WILL SHINE A LIGHT ON JUSTICE"

The walk, organized by the families of the Champion Angels, aimed to draw attention to the Isias Hotel case and demand accountability for those responsible for the earthquake. The families carried banners that read "We will shine a light on justice" during the walk. The indictment prepared by the Adıyaman Chief Public Prosecutor's Office accuses the suspects of "possible intent" in the deaths that occurred in the collapse of the Isias Hotel during the earthquake on February 6.
