Ministry of Foreign Affairs: Israel's Statements on the TRNC are Baseless and Malicious

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs expressed strong objection to Israel's claim that it foiled an assassination attempt by Mossad against Jews in the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus (TRNC), stating, "We vehemently reject this baseless and malicious allegation." The ministry also criticized the Israeli Prime Minister's office for accusing Iran of using the TRNC for alleged terrorist activities, calling the claim baseless and malicious.

In a written statement regarding Israel's announcement, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs stated:
"The Israeli government continues to make statements that do not align with reality to divert the attention of the international public from its inhumane attacks and massacres against civilians in Gaza and the West Bank. The latest example of this is the claim from the office of Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu that Iran is using our country for its so-called terrorist activities. We vehemently reject this baseless and malicious allegation.
While the South Cyprus Greek Administration, which has been hosting the PKK for years, a terrorist organization responsible for bloody acts against our brothers in the homeland Turkey, and has been recognized in international reports as a money laundering center, especially for Russian oligarchs, is openly providing support for terrorism, Israel's efforts to target our country are clearly malicious. As a country of peace and security, the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus will not allow itself to be drawn into dark and dirty games. We declare to the world that we will continue to ensure the security of everyone living in our country with determination, refusing to allow the TRNC to be involved in nefarious schemes."
