Majority of Greek Cypriots Satisfied with EU Membership
According to a Eurobarometer survey conducted in Southern Cyprus, the majority of Greek Cypriots are satisfied with being members of the EU.
Haravgi newspaper reported that, according to the Eurobarometer survey, which includes Southern Cyprus, 70% of Greek Cypriots expressed satisfaction with EU membership.
The report indicates that 70% of the participants believe that EU membership has a positive impact on their lives, while 41% have a positive perception of the EU. When asked about the contribution of the EU, 40% of participants stated that it contributes most to the country's security and peace, and 30% believe it contributes most to the economy. Regarding the expansion of the EU, 52% of participants expressed opposition to EU expansion.
