YÖDAK General Secretary Derviş Refiker Dismissed from Duty

Derviş Refiker, the General Secretary of the Higher Education Planning, Evaluation, Accreditation, and Coordination Board (YÖDAK), has been dismissed from his position after being arrested and released on bail as part of the investigation into fake diplomas at KSTU. The decision was published in the Official Gazette and took effect immediately.

Derviş Refiker has been relieved of his duties after nine years in his role as the YÖDAK General Secretary. The decision was officially announced through the publication in the Official Gazette.

Refiker was arrested recently as part of the investigation conducted at the Cyprus Health and Social Sciences University (KSTU) and was released on bail shortly after.

The decision published in the Official Gazette reads as follows:

"According to the second paragraph of Article 3 of the Law on Senior Executives, Mr. Derviş Refiker, who was appointed to the position of General Secretary of the Higher Education Planning, Evaluation, Accreditation, and Coordination Board (YÖDAK) on 22.05.2015 by a decree dated 21.05.2015, is relieved of his duties as of 20/03/24."
