According to the police, Maypa unlawfully obtained official correspondence of insurance companies and published them in 12 different social media posts between August 11, 2022, and March 21, 2024. Additionally, it was noted that Maypa acquired an outage report belonging to Kıb-tek and shared it on social media.

Furthermore, the police stated that Maypa disclosed the indictment of a private individual and, on March 12, 2024, published an application made by a private company to the Cyprus Turkish Contractors Association (KTİMB) for hiring workers. These documents contained private information about individuals.

The police also mentioned that Maypa was in possession of a notebook containing a list of individuals who had contracted Covid-19 during the pandemic.

During the court proceedings, Maypa's lawyer and the prosecutor engaged in a debate regarding the scope of the 'Privacy Law.' The defense argued that Maypa was a citizen journalist and a member of the Press Workers Union (Basın-sen).

Maypa claimed that although he knew obtaining the documents was illegal, he did it for his country. When asked who provided him with the documents, he replied sarcastically, "Storks delivered them."

The court heard that Maypa had been reported by several individuals, including officials from the Development Bank, KTİMB, and two private insurance companies, on March 28, 2024.

Maypa accused the police of being indifferent to his complaints and claimed that the ongoing investigation was an attempt to obstruct his efforts in exposing corruption and malpractice.

After deliberation, the court ordered Maypa to remain in custody for three days."
