Police officer Murat Ergün, from the Nicosia Criminal Branch, presented the facts regarding Abuımara to the court. The police stated that during a search conducted on March 19, 2024, between 12:45 and 13:30, a total of 27 grams of drugs were found in a wardrobe at the residence where Rayyan L. M. Abuımara and Youssef Ahmad were staying. Additionally, the police disclosed that in a blue shoe belonging to Abuımara, placed in front of the entrance door of the residence inside a black eyeglass case, approximately 42 grams of drugs wrapped in 15 transparent nylon bags, a sensitive scale believed to have drug residue on it, and a pipe were found and confiscated. Along with the two suspects, Alarıd Saeed and Ohada Alakel were also arrested at the same residence.

The police further stated that following the investigation, Youssef Ahmad, Alarıd Saeed, and Ohada Alakel were found innocent and released. Abuımara admitted to the charges against him, stating that the drugs belonged to him, according to the police. The police also mentioned that the suspect had a student permit and requested an appropriate bail.

After evaluating the testimony, Judge Zehra Yalkut Bilgeç ruled that the suspect should pay a cash bail of 100,000 TL, be prohibited from leaving the country, provide two guarantors each signing a bail bond of 500,000 TL, and appear for bodily examination once a week as conditions for being released pending trial.
