According to the statement from the Presidency, President Tatar conveyed his greetings to former Kalavac Village Head Ömer Meraklı and wished success to the new Head, Halil Karasoy, in his endeavors.

President Tatar stressed that with the efforts passed down from generation to generation, the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus would stride confidently into the future. Highlighting the resilience of the descendants of the people who resisted EOKA attacks in Kalavac, President Tatar noted that they organized festivals independently, demonstrating their commitment to culture, art, literature, folklore, and the rights inherited from the past, enabling the Turkish Cypriots to sustain their way of life.

President Tatar explained that traditions have been passed down through generations in Kalavac, which has been Turkish territory since 1571, and congratulated the village residents for their loyalty.

Acknowledging that Kalavac locals have succeeded in maintaining their culture by achieving success in big cities and abroad, President Tatar conveyed his love to all Kalavac residents. Stressing the unity of the Turkish Cypriots and their devotion to the TRNC, President Tatar underlined that any agreement in Cyprus would be based on cooperation between two states.

President Tatar underscored that the guarantee and military presence of the Republic of Turkey would not be abandoned. He noted that witnessing the events in Gaza and conflicts around the world, any weakness in the Cyprus issue would regress the Turkish Cypriots to the pre-1960s era.

President Tatar congratulated those involved in organizing the festival and those who contributed to it.
