In his message, Prime Minister Üstel emphasized that April 23rd, 1920, is not only the victory of the Turkish nation's struggle for independence and freedom, but also a day when hopes and ideals flourished.

"This date marks not only the liberation of the Turkish nation but also the declaration of its will to determine its own destiny. Mustafa Kemal Atatürk, by dedicating this day to children, openly demonstrated his confidence and hope for the future," Üstel said.

"While celebrating the 104th anniversary of the establishment of the Grand National Assembly of Turkey, a symbol of national sovereignty established under the leadership of Atatürk, and the Universal Children's Day, April 23rd, with great enthusiasm, we are also aware of our responsibility to carry the torch of independence forever.

"Our children are the future of our nation and homeland. It is one of our most important duties to raise them as knowledgeable and equipped individuals, shaped by our national and spiritual values.

"Consistent with Atatürk's statement, 'children are our future,' we have mobilized and will continue to mobilize every possible means for our children, who are the guarantee of our future. Our greatest wish is for them to grow up as healthy, happy, successful, patriotic individuals who are committed to Atatürk's principles and reforms. Therefore, we are working with all our might to protect and develop these lands.

"We pledge to continue our struggle for the independence and sovereignty of the TRNC with the spirit of April 23rd.

"On this meaningful day, we also commemorate the heroism and sacrifices of the Turkish Cypriot people in their struggle for sovereignty and independence.

"On this occasion, I extend my warmest wishes to all our citizens and children on April 23rd National Sovereignty and Children's Day and emphasize that our desire to build a stronger TRNC in unity and solidarity will always remain steadfast. I respectfully express my gratitude to the Great Leader, Mustafa Kemal Atatürk."
