Accompanied by the General Secretary Nevzat Özkunt, Erman Yaylalı, responsible for Development and Local Labor Policies in the Central Executive Committee (CEC), and Ece Balcı, the TDP Famagusta District President, Çeler initiated the conversation by extending best wishes to Rector Kılıç. He then remarked that the current situation of EMU is "sad," attributing this to occasional administrative challenges and difficulties in revenue generation.

Çeler emphasized the importance of the protocol signed by EMU with unions, the Ministry, and the government, highlighting that through this protocol, EMU employees have made sacrifices in their salaries and payments. He stressed that EMU stands apart from private universities due to its commitment to fair compensation for workers and investments in science.

Furthermore, Çeler expressed readiness to support EMU in every way possible, highlighting that during his tenure in the government, he consistently supported the university. He underlined that EMU is a public institution and should always be a priority for the Turkish Cypriot community.

In addressing the recent diploma crisis affecting the university sector, Çeler expressed confidence in EMU's quality and resilience. He assured that EMU would overcome these challenges, despite the risks posed by recent controversies.

Rector Kılıç, in response, emphasized that EMU is the oldest university in the country and a vital institution with graduates in nearly every household. He stressed the importance of collective ownership and support for the university's success. Kılıç expressed optimism about the university's future trajectory, highlighting the positive impact of the recently signed protocol. He expressed gratitude for the support from alumni, the community, and political leaders, emphasizing the university's enduring legacy.

In conclusion, Kılıç expressed confidence in the government's commitment to EMU's success and called for continued collaboration to achieve shared goals.
