Protests Planned Against Poverty, Corruption, and Stagnation

Several organizations and political parties will distribute a statement tomorrow morning against "poverty, theft, and unresolved issues," followed by a protest march to the Parliament on Friday evening. A total of 26 organizations, including political parties, unions, and other civil society groups, will march to the Parliament on April 26th to protest against "poverty, theft, and unresolved issues."

In a joint statement, unions, organizations, and political parties called on the public to join the protest march to the Parliament in Nicosia on Friday at 18:00 from the Dereboyu Citroen lights. They also announced that statements would be distributed at the Prime Ministry Intersection and the Citroen lights at 07:30 tomorrow morning, and a press conference would be held at the Cyprus Turkish Teachers' Union (KTÖS) at 11:00 on the same day.

The statement listed demands such as "holding those who do not comply with the constitution and laws accountable, taking measures to increase people's purchasing power, restoring the will of the Turkish Cypriots and their right to self-government, and initiating negotiations for the solution of the Cyprus issue to achieve a federal resolution." The statement, which declared "enough is enough," was supported by the following unions, civil society organizations, and political parties:
