After the Minimum Wage Determination Commission meeting was adjourned until 18:00, Serdaroğlu criticized the government. He pointed out that the Minister of Labor and Social Security, Sadık Gardiyanoğlu, separately met with the parties, indicating a failure to reach an agreement between employers and the government.

Serdaroğlu mentioned that they initially proposed a decrease from 27% to 25% and extended an offer at 23%, which the employers did not accept. He stated that the government insisted on 22.98%, saying, "We are not beggars."

By stating, "The Prime Minister must show respect for labor... We are neither Karagöz nor Hacivat, neither father nor son, nor beggars," Serdaroğlu delivered a strong message to the government. He also suggested that Ünal Üstel, who failed to determine the minimum wage, would go down in history, urging citizens not to "submit."
