Number of Travelers from Southern Cyprus to Turkey Increases by 110%
The Turkish Ministry of Tourism released data for visitors to Turkey in March, highlighting a significant 110% increase in the number of travelers from Southern Cyprus compared to the previous year.
According to the figures compiled by Kıbrıs Postası from the Turkish Ministry of Culture and Tourism, 1,225 people traveled from Southern Cyprus to Turkey last month, up from 597 in March 2023.
15,712 Travelers from Northern Cyprus to Turkey Last Month
In the same period, 15,712 people from Northern Cyprus traveled to Turkey, marking a 57% increase compared to the previous year's March figures. Last year, 10,000 people made the trip from Northern Cyprus to Turkey in March. In March 2022, the number of travelers from Northern Cyprus to Turkey was 10,169.
The data indicate a growing interest in Turkey as a destination for travelers from both Southern and Northern Cyprus.
