During a meeting at the TDP headquarters, attended by Çeler along with party officials, including Nevzat Özkunt and Evrim Hınçal, and members of the Central Executive Committee, discussions were held with a delegation from the main opposition party in Turkey, the Republican People's Party (CHP). The CHP delegation, led by Mehmet Tüm, included Özlem Arıcı, Sefa Kurt, Tolgay Yılmaz, and Onurcan Yılmaz.

Mehmet Tüm conveyed greetings from the CHP leader Özgür Özel, expressing their joy at being the leading party in Turkey after many years and aiming to carry this success forward to the general elections. He highlighted the shared values of advocating for peace as social democrats and expressed their pleasure in collaborating with the TDP.

Additionally, Mehmet Tüm presented Çeler with a book containing his defense statement from a trial where he was prosecuted for referring to Deniz Gezmiş as a hero.

In response, Çeler emphasized the importance of social democratic values for the current and future collaborations between the two parties. He stressed the significance of social relations alongside political ones between the two brotherly countries.

Çeler asserted, "The presence of Turkey is crucial for us in politics, national governance, local administrations, and international relations," emphasizing the need for equality, understanding, dialogue, and grounded approaches in managing these relations.

Highlighting the critical geopolitical position of Cyprus, Çeler reiterated the importance of peace for ensuring the safety and well-being of both communities on the island, emphasizing that peace should also provide security for Turkey.
