This decision comes in response to the Meteorological Department's forecasts that temperatures will be above seasonal norms, aiming to protect workers who are constantly exposed to the sun.

According to the Ministry's announcement, under the Occupational Health and Safety Laws and Regulations, the decision was made considering the dangers of working outdoors in rising temperatures. Based on the authority granted by Article 36 of Labour Law No. 22/1992, the Ministry has prohibited outdoor work under the sun from 12:00 to 16:00 today and on June 14, Friday.

For the agriculture and construction sectors operating outside residential areas, the start times for work can be determined by employers. Early start times for transporting aggregate, ready-mix concrete, other construction materials, and machinery to the construction site can also be implemented.
