Turkish President Erdoğan to Visit Northern Cyprus and Address Parliament
In commemoration of the 50th anniversary of the Cyprus Peace Operation, Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan is scheduled to visit the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus (TRNC) on July 20th. During his visit, he will deliver a speech at the TRNC Parliament.
President Erdoğan's agenda following the holiday period includes a series of diplomatic engagements. He will attend the NATO Leaders Summit from July 9-11, after which he will visit Northern Cyprus to mark the significant anniversary of the 1974 intervention.
Detailed Diplomatic Schedule
July 3-4: Erdoğan will travel to Astana to participate in the Shanghai Cooperation Organization Summit.
July 5-6: He will then visit Azerbaijan, where he will attend an informal summit of the Organization of Turkic States in Shusha.
July 9-11: At the NATO Leaders Summit, Erdoğan will meet with various global leaders, including U.S. President Joe Biden, to discuss critical issues such as the situation in Ukraine and the humanitarian crisis in Gaza.
Visit to Northern Cyprus
Following his visit to the United States, President Erdoğan will travel to Northern Cyprus to partake in the anniversary celebrations of the Cyprus Peace Operation.
