509 Drivers Reported, 35 Vehicles Impounded
In a comprehensive traffic enforcement operation across the country, 509 drivers were reported for various traffic violations, and 35 vehicles were impounded.
According to a statement from the Police Press Office, traffic teams conducted inspections on 2,645 vehicles. The reported traffic offenses included:
- 253 for exceeding the legal speed limit
- 7 for driving under the influence of alcohol
- 4 for driving without a valid license and insurance
- 55 for using a mobile phone while driving
- 18 for not wearing a seatbelt
- 31 for driving without a valid registration
- 11 for driving without insurance
- 7 for riding a motorcycle without a protective helmet
- 7 for failing to comply with traffic lights
- 116 for other various traffic violations
The police emphasized the importance of adhering to traffic laws to ensure road safety and prevent accidents.
