According to a statement from the party, Erhürman discussed various national issues on Bahar Sancar’s program on Gündem Kıbrıs Web TV.

Population Census and Policy

Responding to a question about the initial steps his party would take if elected, Erhürman said, "Number one is a population census. A population census and a population policy are different things. We need a population census immediately, followed by a population policy."

Economic Challenges and Government Criticism

Erhürman pointed out that even with the euro at 36 TL, the economy is shifting towards the South, criticizing the current administration for making Turkish Cypriots mere spectators in their own country.

Government’s Lack of Credibility

Addressing the functioning of the Parliament, Erhürman noted that laws presented by the government are not properly prepared and need significant revision in committees. He criticized the law regarding property sales to foreigners as meaningless due to a lack of sufficient information.

Erhürman also highlighted the "watchdog minister" practice in Parliament, asserting that the government lacks credibility and is spreading its disrepute to the Parliament.

Institutional Distrust and Societal Regression

Erhürman expressed concerns over a severe loss of trust in all institutions, noting that institutional credibility is simultaneously declining, which he described as very dangerous. He mentioned that even the judiciary, which had the highest credibility, is losing trust.

Economic Disparities and Social Services

Highlighting the economic disparities, Erhürman noted that even with the euro at over 36 liras, the economy is favoring the South. He questioned how this could be possible given the higher income levels in the South. He also pointed out the dire state of the judicial system and the inadequacy of social services, leading people to question the presence of the state.

Population and Resource Management

Erhürman criticized the government's preoccupation with party congresses, pointing out the halt in the construction sector, which affects numerous other industries. He emphasized that the current political mindset lacks knowledge and vision, and stressed the importance of controlling the number of foreigners in the country, stating, "This geography cannot sustain this many people."

Urgent Need for Change

Erhürman suggested that there is a growing public demand for early elections, emphasizing that the country is becoming unrecognizable and that the current mindset needs to be removed. He noted that while a multicultural structure could be an asset if managed well, it could lead to chaos if not, stressing the need to limit the number of incoming people and provide necessary services like education and healthcare.
