CMIRS Survey: CTP and Erhürman Lead
The latest poll conducted by the Center for Migration, Identity, and Rights Studies (CMIRS) in June 2024 reveals that the Republican Turkish Party (CTP) and its leader Tufan Erhürman are favored by more than 30% of voters.
The survey, conducted face-to-face with 500 participants, provides insights into voter preferences for the possible election.
According to the poll, 33.47% of voters intend to vote for the CTP, while 29.52% favor the National Unity Party (UBP). Additionally, 5.20% of participants expressed a preference for casting mixed votes.
CMIRS Director Mine Yücel, analyzing the poll results, noted that outside of recent periods, the UBP typically received the highest number of votes in previous surveys. However, in this latest poll, the CTP has slightly increased its vote share.
In the presidential race, 35.48% of participants named Tufan Erhürman as their first choice, while 29.23% preferred the incumbent President Ersin Tatar, and 7.46% supported Kudret Özersay.
