AKINCI UAVs in Northern Cyprus

Two Bayraktar AKINCI UAVs, developed by Baykar, made a historic flight to participate in the celebration program. The UAVs took off from the AKINCI Flight Training and Test Center and landed successfully at Geçitkale Airport in Northern Cyprus after a flight of approximately three hours. Flying at an average altitude of 29,000 feet, the UAVs covered a distance of 1,022 kilometers. The UAVs will perform demonstration flights as part of the 50th-anniversary celebrations in Northern Cyprus.

Enhanced Deterrence with National Munitions

The Bayraktar AKINCI, which holds the national aviation altitude record at 45,118 feet, flew to Baku, Azerbaijan, in 2022, passing through three countries for the TEKNOFEST Azerbaijan event. For this flight, the UAV took off from Tekirdağ-Çorlu and traversed Turkey, Georgia, and Azerbaijan. It also successfully hit targets during the Efes Exercise in 2022 and 2024, taking off from Batman and targeting sites in Izmir.

Numerous national munitions have been integrated into the Bayraktar AKINCI UAV to enhance its deterrence capabilities. Having completed 60,000 flight hours, AKINCI marks a significant milestone in Turkish aviation history.

Baykar, the world's largest exporter of armed UAVs, has seen 97.5% of its signed contracts coming from exports. Baykar has signed export agreements with a total of 34 countries, nine of which are specifically for the Bayraktar AKINCI UAV.
