In his remarks, Marinakis mentioned that Athens has been informed about a broad plan, which includes Turkey-Greece collaborations, and this has led to expectations of a 'new plan'. He added that the new plan is expected to align with UN criteria and incorporate innovative ideas. While Athens is aware of the general outline of the plan, it is awaiting more concrete details.

Furthermore, according to information obtained by Kıbrıs Postası, unlike previous plans, this time there might be steps to encourage Turkish Cypriots towards a solution. These steps could involve issues such as direct flights, trade, and sports activities, potentially presented as a package.

Meanwhile, Cypriot President Nikos Christodoulides, in statements to the press last weekend, expressed optimism by saying, "we will receive good news before the end of the year" and hinted at significant decisions by stating, "we are on the verge of making very historic decisions."
