Speaking live on A Haber, President Tatar highlighted the need to lift embargoes and isolations on Northern Cyprus, saying, "We are striving for the recognition of the TRNC."

President Tatar pointed out that every year, the 20th of July Peace Operation is celebrated with enthusiasm in Cyprus, but this year, being the 50th anniversary, the preparations and celebrations were more extensive. He mentioned that Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan attended with a large delegation, showing the unity of Turkey's 85 million people. Representatives from the main opposition, other party leaders, veterans, civil society, and a large media presence from various regions of Turkey were also there.

Tatar underlined Turkey's strength showcased during the July 20th ceremonies, noting that the Turkish Stars performed their air show, watched by people from balconies, buildings, roofs, and streets all over Kyrenia.

Expressing the significance of the 50th anniversary of the Peace Operation, Tatar said, "This was a turning point for us. The Turkish Cypriots were saved from annihilation and genocide."

"Cyprus is vital not only for the survival of Turkish Cypriots but also for the security of our motherland Turkey, both in the Blue Homeland we call the Mediterranean and the Sky Homeland above it," Tatar remarked, stressing that the two communities have been coexisting on the island for 60 years and that the two-state solution is indispensable.
