During an operation in Nicosia, police seized half a kilogram of drugs and arrested Chime and Isıgewe. They were brought to court today.

Police Officer Ozan Özder testified in court, explaining that on July 23, 2024, around 11:00 AM, the suspects were spotted in the Hamitköy area. Upon noticing the police, the suspects fled, leaving their vehicle parked in front of an apartment before escaping on foot.

During a search of the vehicle, 500 grams of drugs were found. The police then identified and searched the suspects' apartment, where they discovered the vehicle's key hidden inside an air conditioning unit.

The police also found the suspects' clothing in the bathroom. According to the suspects' statements, they obtained the drugs via a phone connection. The drugs will be sent for analysis, and there are additional camera footage and two other individuals still being sought.

Judge Jale Ergüden ordered that the suspects be held in custody for 2 days while the investigation continues.
