Christodoulides: It’s Time for Cyprus to Reunite
Greek Cypriot Leader Nikos Christodoulides declared, "The time has come for the reunification of the last divided EU member state," emphasizing their determination to reunite Cyprus through a comprehensive solution.
Speaking at an event organized by AHEPA, the largest organization of Greek Cypriots living in the USA, held at the Greek Cypriot Presidential Palace, Christodoulides highlighted the significance of the event for Hellenism and expressed the honor of hosting it in Cyprus for the first time.
In a report by the Cyprus News Agency (CNA), it was noted that this is only the second time in AHEPA's 102-year history that the Congress has been held outside the USA. Christodoulides underscored the importance of AHEPA’s relationship with Cyprus and its unbreakable bond with Cypriot Hellenism.
The Greek Cypriot leader viewed the event as an opportunity to renew their commitment to the reunification of Cyprus and its people, stating, "Our commitment to peace, stability, and prosperity is the only path we can choose for Cyprus and future generations."
Reaffirming their resolve to reunite Cyprus through a viable comprehensive solution in accordance with UN Security Council resolutions, law, values, and EU principles, Christodoulides told AHEPA members, "Thanks to your contributions, Cyprus-US relations are stronger than ever."
