At the hearing, Police Officer Celal Durukan presented the details. Officer Durukan stated that Müsbah was arrested on charges of importing and possessing illegal substances. On July 17, 2024, during a routine check at the Metehan Crossing Point, Müsbah was stopped, and a search revealed 20 grams of cocaine hidden in his pocket.

Officer Durukan further explained that Müsbah admitted to purchasing the drugs for €1,500 from an individual in South Cyprus, intending to sell them. The seized drugs have been sent for analysis, and the packaging is being examined for fingerprints.

Given that Müsbah is a citizen of North Cyprus but lacks a stable residence and has connections to South Cyprus, there is a concern that he might evade trial if released. Thus, Judge Jale Ergüden has ordered his detention for up to two months.
