Tatar: Even if Injustice Happens, We Must Accept It
A- A A+

In an interview with Çiğdem Aydın on Gündem Kıbrıs, Tatar acknowledged that "there are always some grievances during UBP Congresses." He reflected on the party's progress, saying, "UBP has come this far. Look, suddenly they have 24 seats in the parliament."

On the Future

Tatar expressed optimism about the congress, stating, "I am not hopeless. These things are partly a matter of fate. One must be ready for everything. Five or six years ago, I became general president, then prime minister, and then president. I had no such goal or plan. It happened that way. I am grateful."

Advice to Affected Figures

Without naming names, Tatar suggested that Amcaoğlu and Evren should accept the outcome of the intervention, noting, "If others want something very much, it might not always happen. You must leave things to their natural course. Be prepared. Even if injustice occurs, you should accept it and move on. Luck will find its way again, and you will get your due."

Response to Media Questions

When asked about the alleged Turkish Embassy intervention and reports of Amcaoğlu and Evren being summoned, Tatar replied, "I do not know exactly what happened. I have not been informed. UBP will complete its congress. The number of candidates is still a topic of discussion. There may be divisions with many candidates. These issues are on the agenda. I have also followed the news. I do not know exactly what happened. It is everyone’s democratic right, but if there are messages being sent, it is up to everyone to interpret them."
