New Grant Program Launched to Boost Green Line Trade

Applications have been opened for a new grant program aimed at increasing Green Line trade. Funded by the European Union Aid Program for the Turkish Cypriot community and implemented by GIZ International Services, the "eunite: SME Project" announced the launch of this grant program.

With a budget of €2 million, the program aims to strengthen Turkish Cypriot businesses and facilitate their integration into the broader EU market.

The deadline for submitting the project concept note, the first phase of the application process, is August 26, 2024.

According to euniteCyprus, the "Direct Support Grant Program for SMEs to Boost Green Line Trade" is part of the EU Aid Program for the Turkish Cypriot community.

The grant program targets Turkish Cypriot manufacturers, producers, and traders. It aims to promote participation in Green Line trade, develop trade, and support growth by improving business processes, adopting innovative approaches, and ensuring compliance with EU standards.

Grants ranging from €20,000 to €60,000 can be used for investments in new machinery and laboratory equipment, standardization and certification services such as CE markings and ISO certifications, digital improvements, green transformation initiatives, marketing support, and training programs to enhance the skills of personnel involved in Green Line trade.

Applications in Two Stages

Applications for the program will be conducted in two stages. The deadline for submitting project concept note proposals, the first stage, is 12:00 PM on August 26. Information sessions will be held throughout August to support potential applicants and provide more details and guidance on the grant program. The first information session will be held on August 8, from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM, at the "Office with Blue Door" located at Kütüphane Street No:20-22, Surlariçi, Nicosia.

Successful applicants in the first stage will be invited to submit full applications in September 2024.
