Turkish Airlines Flight from Istanbul to Taipei Hits Turbulence: 6 Injured
A Turkish Airlines flight from Istanbul to Taipei encountered severe turbulence shortly before landing at Taipei Airport, resulting in minor injuries to four passengers and two cabin crew members. The incident occurred as the aircraft, carrying 214 passengers and 17 crew members, was preparing to land.
According to a statement from Turkish Airlines, the plane landed safely despite the turbulence. Two of the injured individuals were taken to a hospital for further evaluation.

THY Press Advisor Yahya Üstün shared an update on social media, saying: "Our flight TK24 from Istanbul (IST) to Taipei (TPE), operated by the aircraft with tail code TC-JJE, experienced turbulence approximately two hours before landing due to adverse weather conditions. Six people, including four passengers and two cabin crew members, sustained minor injuries. The plane landed safely at Taipei Airport, and medical teams were on hand to assist. There were no serious injuries, but two passengers were transported to the hospital upon request."
Üstün expressed Turkish Airlines' regret over the incident and emphasized that the airline prioritizes the safety of its passengers and crew. The health conditions of those affected are being closely monitored.
