Taçoy: "We Can Solve All Our Problems with Political and Social Will"
Hasan Taçoy, a candidate for the leadership of the National Unity Party (UBP), emphasized that with political and social will, all problems can be resolved. Speaking on Hakikat TV, Taçoy addressed current issues and made clear that he is not running for UBP leadership for personal gain or position.
Taçoy highlighted that despite having the option to remain on the sidelines and hold a ministerial position, he chose to represent the "silent majority" of the country and the party. He noted, "This country has been run for years by coalitions and constantly changing governments and party leaders. What has improved?"
Taçoy criticized the current UBP leadership, especially the party's General Secretary, for failing to manage the current situation, stating that the internal party processes have been mismanaged. He expressed concerns about the direction of the country and the party, stressing the importance of addressing key issues such as education, healthcare, and public services.
He also voiced his frustration with the handling of the party's upcoming congress, accusing the current leadership of using state resources and party funds for personal gain. Taçoy called for transparency and accountability, urging UBP members to vote on September 21 for real change.
Concluding his remarks, Taçoy promised that if he cannot lead UBP to become the leading party in the next general election, he would resign on the same night, underscoring his commitment to making UBP a single-party government.
