In his speech at the protest, Maviş expressed concerns about the recent developments in the country, highlighting issues related to societal will, trust, stability, and solutions.

Maviş explained that the protest in front of the Turkish Embassy was a response to the government’s inability to open schools due to political interference. He criticized the Turkish government for its role in the situation, emphasizing that the inability to open schools reflected the severe instability in the country.

Maviş argued that when it comes to children's education, everyone must know their limits and that using education as material for political congresses is "irresponsible."

He urged respect for intellectuals, teachers, elected officials, and institutions, stressing that Cyprus should not be viewed merely as a geopolitical and strategic piece of land. Maviş called for respect for the community's existence and an end to interference, stating that injustices and attempts at cultural and psychological dominance would be met with a firm response.

Maviş also affirmed that the Cyprus Turkish community is capable of establishing equal political relations with the Republic of Turkey and possesses the knowledge, skills, and potential to govern itself effectively.
