CTP and AKEL Delegations Discuss Current Status of Cyprus Issue
The leaders of the Republican Turkish Party (CTP) and the Progressive Party of Working People (AKEL) met to discuss the current status of the Cyprus issue and potential developments ahead of the UN General Assembly.
CTP General President Tufan Erhürman and Secretary General Asım Akansoy welcomed AKEL General Secretary Stefanos Stefanou and his delegation at the CTP headquarters today. The AKEL delegation included Politburo member Toumazos Tselepis and Head of the Reconciliation Office Elias Demetriou.
During the hour-long meeting, the current situation regarding the Cyprus issue and possible developments before the UN General Assembly were assessed. Both parties exchanged views on future developments related to the Cyprus problem, with plans for continued discussions in the coming period.
