Erhürman to Hold Meetings in New York During UN General Assembly
Tufan Erhürman, the leader of the Republican Turkish Party (CTP), will be in New York from September 23 to 28, 2024, for important diplomatic meetings.
He will be accompanied by CTP Foreign Relations Secretary and MP Fikri Toros. The purpose of the visit is to engage in diplomatic discussions regarding the Cyprus resolution process as part of the UN General Assembly activities.
On September 25, Erhürman will speak at the Socialist International meeting titled "Investing in Dialogue and Diplomacy," where he will present his vision for the future of the Cyprus resolution process and offer concrete suggestions for potential new methodologies.
During his visit, Erhürman is also scheduled to meet with UN Assistant Secretary-General Miroslav Jenca to discuss the Cyprus issue and the resolution process. Additionally, he plans to hold bilateral meetings with representatives of various countries interested in Cyprus at the UN.
This trip occurs during a period of intensified diplomatic efforts regarding the Cyprus issue. Erhürman aims to convey the CTP's solution vision to international actors and foster a more active dialogue environment at the UN.
