Attorney General's Office Declares Zorlu Töre Did Not Win the Election
The Attorney General’s Office has expressed its opinion that Zorlu Töre did not win the election.
The office communicated in writing to the Parliament that the "absolute majority" and the requirement for a second-round vote with two candidates should be applied. Töre has received both letters, addressed to him and the Parliament Speaker, but has not shared any information with the public.
Currently, due to President Ersin Tatar's absence abroad, Töre is serving as his acting representative, while Fazilet Özdenefe is acting as the Parliament Speaker. A formal statement is expected shortly. The UBP (National Unity Party) Central Committee is scheduled to meet today, with the party's roadmap likely to be determined during this meeting.
