Özdağ: We Oppose Concessions in Cyprus, Just as We Oppose Concessions to Öcalan!

In response to Nationalist Movement Party (MHP) leader Devlet Bahçeli’s call regarding Abdullah Öcalan, Ümit Özdağ, the leader of the Victory Party, stated, “We oppose concessions in Cyprus, just as we oppose concessions given to Öcalan.”

Özdağ state: "As the Victory Party, we will continue to inform our nation about the threats to the Republic, which Atatürk entrusted to us, and our state, and to firmly oppose these threats in light of the founding principles and values, as well as the rule of law. We oppose the disgraceful trend of yielding to Greece in the Eastern Mediterranean and Aegean, as well as the concessions in Cyprus. We stand against the surrender to terrorist organizations and the concessions made to Öcalan.

We believe it is time to go to the Turkish nation. The challenge is on! You take Öcalan with you, and we will take the Turkish nation with us. Let’s go to the polls in early elections.
