Registrations Open for the 12th Nicosia Marathon
The 12th edition of the Nicosia Marathon, sponsored by Ülker, has opened its registration process, according to the announcement by the Nicosia Turkish Municipality (LTB).
The marathon will take place on Sunday, December 1, and all proceeds from the event will benefit children at the Dr. Burhan Nalbantoğlu Oncology Center's Pediatric Oncology Department.
Under the slogan “Running to Victory with Our Heroes,” the marathon will feature four categories: a children’s race, a 4-kilometer public race, and 10-kilometer and 21-kilometer races.
Registration for the 4-kilometer race and Children’s Race will take place at the LTB building from November 18 to November 30, weekdays from 08:30 to 16:00, Saturdays from 09:00 to 13:00, and until 09:30 on Sunday, December 1. For the 10 km and 21 km races, registration will close on Friday, November 29, at 16:00. Online registration will also be available during these dates at www.lefkosamaratonu.com.
This year, for the first time, a “Children's Race” will be held for children aged 6-12. Registration for the children’s race will be free of charge.
There are no age restrictions for the 4-kilometer race, while the 10 km and 21 km races will be divided into the following age categories: 18-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-55, 55-60, and 60+.
The Ülker Nicosia Marathon is organized in cooperation with the Cyprus Turkish Athletics Federation, with sponsorships from Saka Su, Puma (Athlete Kit Sponsor), The Good Food (Nutrition Sponsor), North Cyprus Turkcell 4.5G, Juke Radio (Radio Sponsor), Bosch, Flatro New Energy & Mobility, and İçim Fit Milk, as well as contributions from Onbaşı Ltd., the Cyprus Turkish Physiotherapists Association, Elite Hospital, Hasan Onalt Sanayi Ltd., and BigBox.
