KTOEÖS President Selma Eylem emphasized that due to a shortage of six teachers, hundreds of students were unable to take their exams. She urged for the issue to be resolved promptly.

Eylem also pointed out that students with special needs are admitted to schools without proper review of their reports and that there are insufficient shadow teachers available to support them. She stressed that teachers are not alone in facing these challenges.

Union Secretary General Tahir Gökçebel addressed broader issues in the education system, highlighting that the shortage of teachers and the inadequate, earthquake-prone school buildings are unacceptable.

Gökçebel noted that Bekirpaşa High School suffers from both staff shortages and security deficiencies, calling for the resignation of the relevant minister.
