Three Traffic Accidents Leave Three Injured

Vehicle Overturns on Geçitkale-Iskele Road

On December 11, at around 4:30 PM, a van with license plate JF 887 driven by Muhammad Irfan (27) lost control on a left-curving bend of the Geçitkale-Iskele main road. The vehicle veered off the road, collided with rocks, and overturned into a field. The driver and passengers, Neeraj Padhyar (23) and Muhammad Waseem (34), were injured. Waseem, who sustained a neck fracture, was discharged after treatment along with the other injured individuals. The investigation is ongoing.

Collision Between Car and Motorcycle in Kyrenia

Later that evening, at 7:30 PM, a collision occurred on Karaoğlanoğlu Avenue in Kyrenia. A vehicle with license plate NC 979, driven by Mert Kar (20), attempted to make a careless turn into the Starlux Cinema parking lot and collided with a motorcycle, RL 228, driven by Bekir Can Ünal (23). Ünal was injured and taken to Dr. Akçiçek Hospital in Kyrenia, where he remains under observation. An investigation into the accident is ongoing.

Drunk Driver Hits Lighting Pole

On December 12, at 4:30 AM, on the Kyrenia-Alsancak Bypass, Baran Çelik (23), driving vehicle JK 085, lost control and crashed into a lighting pole on the median. Police determined Çelik was driving with a blood alcohol level of 147 milligrams. While no injuries were reported, Çelik was arrested for driving under the influence and causing an accident. The investigation continues.
