Reflecting on her experiences, İpekçioğlu lamented the moral decline she has witnessed throughout the legal battle. She accused those responsible of exploiting fraudulent practices to construct unsafe buildings, ultimately leading to the tragedy. "My daughter, Serin, suffocated in what they call the İsias Hotel, a mass grave. She was a bright, talented athlete and a source of hope for us," she said, highlighting the irreplaceable loss caused by negligence.

She expressed disappointment at the court's inability to impose sentences commensurate with the severity of the crime, describing the decision as a failure of courage and conscience. "This case taught me that humanity is dead and that those who equate money with worth are capable of unspeakable acts. These immoral, fraudulent individuals have killed not only my child but the hope of an entire nation," she stated.

Calling for accountability, İpekçioğlu vowed to continue her fight to ensure that no other family endures a similar tragedy. "No punishment can ease my pain, but justice must prevail. If you still lack the courage to deliver a 'just' verdict today, you will continue to bury this country alive in ruins," she concluded.
