According to a statement from the Turkish Embassy in Nicosia, the extradited individuals include 22 Turkish nationals and 9 foreigners, including 6 Turkish citizens, 1 Iranian, 1 Russian, and 1 Estonian, who were wanted under the International Red Notice.

The statement noted that the extradition was made possible through police cooperation between the TRNC Security Forces Command and the Turkish Ministry of Interior's General Directorate of Security, which involved real-time data sharing and high-level coordination. Diplomatic efforts by the Turkish Embassy in Nicosia also played a role in the successful handover.

The 31 individuals extradited were involved in crimes including illegal possession of firearms and knives, sexual assault, fraud, theft, resisting officers, intentional injury, property damage, armed threats, and drug trafficking. The 22 Turkish nationals had been sentenced to prison terms ranging from 8 months and 10 days to 43 years and 10 months.

Additionally, 9 individuals who were wanted for murder, fraud, membership in an armed terrorist organization, smuggling, organized crime, intentional injury, and sexual assault, were apprehended through the cooperation and extradited to Turkey's relevant authorities.
