Traffic Violations: 308 Drivers Fined
Traffic inspections conducted nationwide yesterday resulted in 308 drivers being fined for various violations, with 75 cited for speeding and 41 for using mobile phones while driving.
According to traffic authorities, 1,391 vehicles were inspected during the operation. Legal action was initiated against the violators, and 17 vehicles were banned from the road.
The breakdown of offenses is as follows:
- 75 for exceeding the speed limit,
- 1 for driving under the influence of alcohol,
- 41 for using a mobile phone while driving,
- 8 for not wearing a seatbelt,
- 23 for driving without a vehicle registration certificate,
- 2 for driving without insurance,
- 1 for ignoring traffic lights,
- 2 for dangerous driving, and
- 155 for other traffic offenses.
