Imported Products Clear, Residue Found in One Local Product
According to a statement by the Ministry of Agriculture and Natural Resources, samples collected between December 27, 2024, and January 2, 2025, were analyzed at the State Laboratory. The results were evaluated against European Union pesticide limits.
All 11 samples from imported products were found to be free of excessive pesticide residues. However, one out of eight samples from local products exceeded the permitted pesticide limits.
The problematic sample was identified as yellow Charli peppers belonging to Hüseyin Çalıcıoğlu, a resident of Kuzucuk village. This was the third instance where excessive pesticide levels were detected in the product. As a result, the product will be destroyed.
