Arıklı on Party’s Withdrawal Decision: "Our Members Can't Obtain Citizenship or Permits!"
Rebirth Party (YDP) leader and Minister of Public Works and Transportation, Erhan Arıklı, commented on his party's decision to withdraw from the government, emphasizing frustrations over unfulfilled promises.
Speaking to BRT, Arıklı highlighted complaints from party members regarding employment, citizenship issues, and permits, stating, "Even those who are entitled are being deprived during this period."
Addressing the challenges faced by his party, Arıklı said, "It's not a pleasant situation to be the leader of a party where even rightful citizens are denied their rights. While we can't act, others in coalition parties are making moves. My partners don't understand my concerns, and when I speak out, I'm accused of bluffing. This deeply saddens me."
He also clarified that the government's functioning would not collapse if YDP withdrew, stating, "If YDP leaves the government, it will continue as is. Let no one celebrate prematurely; this government will carry on, even without us."
