Traffic Accident in Kyrenia: Motorcyclist Suffers Jaw Fracture

A traffic accident occurred in Kyrenia when a car driver ran a red light and obstructed a motorcyclist's path, leading to a collision and injury. The injured motorcyclist was taken to Nicosia Dr. Burhan Nalbantoğlu State Hospital for treatment.

According to the Police Press Office, the incident took place yesterday around 6:30 PM on İskenderun Street. The driver of the TRK 641-plated car, 41-year-old Ahmed Bulanık, ignored a red traffic light and recklessly entered Uğur Mumcu Boulevard. This caused a collision with a UJ 540-plated motorcycle driven by 22-year-old Hamza Nazır, who had the right of way with a green light.

Hamza Nazır sustained a jaw fracture and was admitted to the surgical ward after receiving treatment at the hospital.

The police investigation into the accident is ongoing.
